Naprawdę nie spodziewałam się, że tak bardzo pokocham the Prison Healer!

Kiva jest więzienną uzdrowicielką w pełnym niebezpieczeństw więzieniu Zalindov. Odkąd trafiła tam mając 7 lat nieustannie walczy o przetrwanie, jednak sytuacja zmienia się gdy pod opiekę Kivy trafia Zbuntowana Królowa. Kiva zostaje obarczona utrzymaniem królowej przy życiu, aby ta mogła wziąć udział w Próbie Przetrwanie, serii zadań związanych z czterema żywiołami.

Jednak kiedy stan zdrowia Królowej się nie poprawia, Kiva podejmuje decyzję o zajęciu miejsca Królowej w próbach. Jednocześnie Kiva zaczyna łamać swoje zasady i wpuszczać do swojego świata innych więźniów, w tym przystojnego Jarena.

Bardzo podobał mi się świat niebezpiecznego więzienia stworzony przez autorkę, a wykreowane przez nią postacie są autentyczne, wzbudzające podziw oraz strach. Kiva zdecydowanie jest za dobrą postacią, jak na warunki Zalindov, jednak wspaniale czytało się książkę z jej punktu widzenia. Nie jest ona typową bohaterką książek YA, a dodatkowo jest wyjątkowo dojrzała jak na swój wiek.

Serce mi się łamało, kiedy czytałam o jej doświadczeniach w więzieniu, ale również kiedy czytałam o jej obawach odnośnie przywiązywania się do innych osób. Nowy w więzieniu, Jaren, nieustannie próbuje podbić serce Kivy, i świetnie się czytało ich rozmowy. Ich relacja była wspaniale opisana. Co więcej, drugoplanowe postacie w the Prison Healer też nie zawiodły. Tipp, który jest jak młodszy brat dla Kivy, od razu podbił moje serce. Tak samo jak Naari, nowa strażniczka więzienna, która w odróżnieniu od innych strażników zdawała się dbać o więźniów.

Postacie były niesamowite, a fabuła cały czas trzymała mnie w napięciu! Ciągłe zwroty akcji sprawiły, że nie mogłam się oderwać od książki, a wszystkie szczegóły i wskazówki podczas czytania składały się w jedną całość na końcu historii! Ostatni akapit sprawił, że dosłownie zaniemówiłam!

Zdecydowanie polecam tą książkę! I kiedy mogę przeczytać drugą część?

I really didn’t expect to love the Prison Healer as much as I did!

Kiva is a prison healer in Zalindov, a prison full of danger. Ever since she got there at the age of 7 she has been constantly struggling to survive, but the situation changes when the Rebel Queen comes under Kiva’s care. Kiva is charged with keeping the Queen alive so that she can participate in the Trial of Survival, a series of tasks related to the four elements.

However, when the Queen’s health does not improve, Kiva decides to take the Queen’s place in the trials. At the same time, Kiva begins to break her rules and allow other prisoners into her world, including the handsome Jaren.

I really enjoyed the world of the dangerous prison created by the author, and the characters she created are authentic, inspiring admiration as well as fear. Kiva is definitely too good for Zalindov, but it was great to read the book from her point of view. She is not the typical heroine of YA books, plus she is extremely mature for her age.

My heart broke when I read about her experiences in prison, but also when I read about her concerns about getting attached to other people. A new prisoner, Jaren is constantly trying to win Kiva’s heart, and it was great to read how slowly Kiva learned to trust him. Their relationship was wonderfully described. Moreover, the supporting characters in the Prison Healer did not disappoint either. Tipp, who is like a younger brother to Kiva, immediately won my heart. So did Naari, the new prison guard, who, unlike the other guards, seems to care about the prisoners.

The characters were amazing, and the plot kept me hooked the whole time! The constant twists and turns made it impossible for me to tear myself away from the book, and all the details and clues while reading added up to the end of the story! The last paragraph literally made me scream!

I definitely recommend this book! And when can I read the second book?
